Perfectly cooked sweet roasted corn slathered in a citrus basil butter.

Ingredients

  • Corn
  • 6 ears of corn, husked and silk removed

  • softened butter

  • kosher salt

  • freshly ground black pepper

  • Orange Basil Butter
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, brought to room temperature

  • 1 tsp orange zest

  • 3 tsp chopped fresh basil

  • 1 pinch of kosher salt

  • 1 pinch of freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°f.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil, if you have a baking rack place it on top of foil on baking sheet.
  • Rub softened butter over each ear of corn and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  • Line ears of corn up on prepared baking sheet, and bake for 40 minutes turning half way through.
  • After 40 minutes, turn oven to broil and broil corn for 10 minutes for extra color and char.
  • Watch corn closely and turn it often.
  • Remove from oven when the corn looks charred and has the color you desire.
  • While corn is baking, add all orange basil butter ingredients to a small mixing bowl and combine well.
  • When corn is finished roasting, slather them with the flavored butter. Enjoy!
