This recipe makes a tasty alternative to the traditional seven-layer dip. Everybody always loves this dip!

Ingredients

  • 1 package / 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup / 8 oz sour cream

  • 5 green onions, thinly sliced

  • 2 roma tomatoes, chopped

  • 1-2 jalapenos, seeded and diced

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced

  • 1 jar / 16 oz salsa, recommended “Tostitos Thick and Chunky”

  • 2 cups / 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 lb Applewood sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • Serving
  • tortilla chips

Directions

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sour cream until well blended.
  • Spread in an ungreased 13″x 9″ casserole dish.
  • Combine onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, and red bell pepper.
  • Sprinkle over the cream cheese layer.
  • Spoon salsa over the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle with bacon.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, enjoy!
