This grilled chicken sizzles with the flavors of brown sugar, ginger, and soy sauce. Huli means “turn” in Hawaiian, referring to the last few minutes of cooking time where you turn the chicken frequently, basting with the mouth-watering glaze.

Ingredients

Directions

  • In a bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the chicken.
  • Reserve 1-1/3 cups of the marinade for basting, cover and refrigerate.
  • Divide remaining marinade between two large resealable gallon-sized freezer bags.
  • Add half of the chicken breasts to each bag, seal and turn to coat.
  • Refrigerate overnight (up to 12 hours).
  • Drain and discard marinade from chicken.
  • Lightly coat the grill rack with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Grill the chicken covered over medium heat for 6 minutes on each side.
  • Turn heat to low and baste the chicken with reserved marinade, turning frequently, for 5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
  • Serve and enjoy!
